What tests/activities/measurements does the Fitness Assessment at the Rec Center involve and what kind of information will I get out of it? Would I, for
instance, get my VO2max level? Anaerobic threshold? Aerobic threshold?

Right now, we are able to offer a variety of field tests that compare your results to population percentiles. We also offer skinfold tests for body
composition. As far as VO2max goes we can offer two field tests, depending on your fitness level, that estimate your VO2max, the Rockport Walk test
(for more deconditioned clients) and the Cooper 12 minute test (for more active clients). We also can conduct a 3 minute step test to determine recovery heart
rate.
We have a Monark bike, that by this Fall will be ready to use for the Astrand Rhyming cylce test for VO2max estimation. We will also be able to test anaerobic power through the 30 second Wingate test (*only up to 205 lb clients). If you would like to tour the testing suite or talk more about it, please feel free to contact me at any time through either means listed below. Thank you.
